Birzeit Consulting will be participating as a partner in the 4th Forensic Conference Fro Africa titled " Fighting Fraud / Corruption and Money Laundering in Africa Using Investigative Accounting Skills to enhance Operating efficiency" in Accra - Ghana during the period December 5 - 9, 2011. Birzeit Consulting will be participating by several of its associates and experts coming from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Jordan. The chief international speaker at the conference would be Mr. Mohammed J. Masoud, CPA, CFE, CICA, MBA, co-founder and managing director of Birzeit Consulting. He is an adjunct professor at the Arab American University, serves as an ACFE advisory board member, and a board member of the Arab Accountants Union (AAU) in Egypt. Participants will be from several African, Middle Eastern, and European countries.
The guest of honor of the conference would be Mr. Adu Anane Antwi, BSc, LLB, MBA, CA, Director General of the
Securities & Exchange Commission-Ghana.

Birzeit Consulting entered into a partnership agreement with O’Sullivan Associates Ltd, a leading Kenyan anti fraud and corruption and forensic accounting consulting firm. O’Sullivan Associates Ltd will be acting as an exclusive representative of Birzeit Consulting in Kenya. In addition, Birzeit Consulting will be conducting its business in Kenya through the Nairobi premises of O’Sullivan Associates Ltd.

Mohammed J. Maosud participated as a Keynote speaker at the 3rd Forensic Conference for Africa. The conference was held under the title “Fighting Fraud/Corruption and Money Laundering in Africa Using Investigative Skills". Mr. Masoud presentation was titled “Preventing and Detecting Fraud/Corruption in the Public Sector." Opened by the Vice President Joyce Mujuru, the conference was conducted for the period June 13-15, 2011 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
In addition, the national radio of Zimbabwe hosted Mr. Masoud in a half an hour program that discussed corruption in the public sector.

Ian Ross was in Wellington, New Zealand to deliver a course of Investigative Interviewing on a four-day assessed program, involving video recording and peer-feedback. The important professional course was well received with positive reviews. This is Mr. Ian Ross with his training group from the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand.

Mr. Ian Ross, MSc, CFE, IIIRG, a senior associate consultant of Birzeit Consulting, delivering his presentation: ‘Investigative Interviewing of Fraud Offenders, A New Focus’. The event was the annual conference of the International Investigative Interviewing Research Group (iIIRG) in Dundee, Scotland, June 2011. The event drew over 200 participants from across the world, from law enforcement and leading academics in the area of investigative interviewing skills and research. Because of a lack of attention to fraud and corruption in comparison to other crimes, the presentation was deemed to have innovated area the investigative interviewing of fraud suspects and relevant parties to a fraud case, and added value to the event and to the objectives of iIIRG.

The Department of the courts’ administration of the Supreme Judicial Council conducted a training / workshop program entitled “Decision Making and Internal Control” attended by the heads of departments in the courts and the heads of pens Magistrate Courts. Birzeit Consulting ME conducted a four days workshop / training program for twenty five of the PACAP members during the period September 25-28, 2010 at Safir Hotel, Dokki-Giza, Cairo-Egypt. The workshop titled “The Auditor's Responsibilities Relating to Fraud in an Audit of Financial Statements” was the first of its scope and content ever offered to the PACPA members.
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Hegazi , who was the prime minister of Egypt from 25 September 1974 to 16 April 1975 and had the mostly prestigious academic and professional positions in the Arab World in the fields of accounting and auditing, attended the ceremony of concluding the workshop and emphasized the importance of the cutting-edge knowledge in accounting, auditing, management, marketing, and each relevant subject matter the auditor should possess and master to perform his duties as expected by the stakeholders.
Mr. Mohammed J. Masoud, the Birzeit Consulting ME Managing Director, Mr. Akram Hassoune, the Chairman of the PACPA, and several board members of the Syndicate of Commercial Professions - Egypt, delivered the certificates of participation to the workshop attendants.
